It isn’t. American gun culture is what is pulverizing many a country in wars of aggression in this cult of belief that society can be fundamentally reorganized either through guns mounted on planes and drones, guns carried by troops or other paid mercenaries, or guns funneled into otherwise stable countries for “pro-democracy” wars. The cult of the gun traverses national boundaries as one can see in Latin America through the support of rightwing govts or the undermining of leftwing ones; through Central Africa and towards the Middle East. Its not an American problem anymore. The gun cult is reflected in foreign policy and its complicit in the suffering of millions of people around the world, especially those on the chocolate spectrum of the humanity: the precious black, brown and dark shades of people.
